This is a simple resource to help children identify things that add to their emotional piggy bank vs things that drain it. These are different for different people – some of us find that social activity restores us whereas for others it’s depleting.
Starting to recognise what boosts and what drains us is the first step, the next step is to try to get the right balance of these activities.
This can be done with any child (or adult!) and is especially helpful for children who often reach a point of shutdown/meltdown as this suggests the balance may not be quite right, yet! The resource was originally developed with ADHD/Autistic children in mind but could be used more widely.
